#Mamavation Monday

This has been my official " Week of HELL" . I am always a HAPPY person or so I am told. I don't walk I dance and always move to the soundtrack that plays in my head ( no I don't have people talking to me ) . Most of the time that soundtrack is Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys this week it is more like I Wanna be Sedated by the Ramones . I woke up Monday morning feeling like someone poured hot lava on my face. My face was bright red and swollen it also felt hot. Mommy hood doesn't slow down when you feel nasty so I just kept doing what I do. By Wednesday it was still red but wasn't swollen anymore. Thursday morning BAM I woke up to my face looking super shiny and scaly. Also I should mention that I have ZERO ZIP energy but I haven't let that stop me from getting my workout on and eating right when I did eat . Which brings me to my point we as Moms and women need to get our bodies in check. I have scheduled doctors appointments for myself all week. I will be poked and prodded to see what the crap is going on with me. This week  Mamavation TV is all about what inspires you and the guest is Kat Robertson who is my new SHERO she has 5 kids plus 2 bonus kids and I have been stalking one of her many blogs http://iheart7.com/ for the past week. First Day of Spring


Today is the first day of Spring and living in Miami we really don't get the 4 seasons. That being said I love a reason to celebrate so I will take it. To me Spring means NEW it means a chance to start all over. I like to clean every room in the house not just clean it but take everything out of it, repaint it then put back only the essentials. Going through my closet and getting rid of things I haven't worn in a while.  Spring also means cleaning your body of junk . I like to do a 10 day cleanse to rid the body of toxins. Nothing drastic just drinking a warm cup of water with lemon in the morning and drinking lots of homemade juices/smoothies with loads of veggies and fruits. I like to get a new hair color and try something new in the fashion department. Get out of my comfort zone try a new workout. And of course get outside and enjoy the weather before the HOT Miami summer starts.

#Mamavation Monday

WHAT !!!!
I am now a graduate of the Class of Mamavation Campaign 15 with my fellow Sista's Joanna @way2gomom and Jeanae @jeanae . I have learned so much and now see food as fuel and not something you use to entertain your mouth. With that knowledge comes responsibilities because now I can't use ignorance as an excuse. I am not going to lie and say it is easy to always eat the right things. This week I went off the wagon nothing major I just ate pasta and bread they were whole wheat but still I feel bloated and yucky. I also have drank milk 4 times this week and my face has broken out. So back to what WORKS. I am still losing pounds but more important to me is I am getting toned and getting some muscles. I am more solid in places I had a little jiggle to. This week I want to take a few classes and do more outdoor activities. Also, I cut up lots of veggies & froze fresh fruit for fast easy meals.

Down 2 more pounds

Kenya Moore Booty Boot Camp Review

If you know me you know I love The Real Housewives Series and one of my favorites is Atlanta. I think Kenya Moore former Ms. USA is a great addition this season. That being said when I was asked by the wonderful @bookieboo from Mamavation if I wanted to review her DVD Kenya Moore: Booty Boot Camp , I was like "YEAH" I want a stallion booty.

 I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The workouts are broken down into a 14 minute warm up , (3) 20 minute workouts level 1,2 & 3 , a 12 minute abs + cool down and it has a 4 minute bonus cool down. Kenya Moore and instructor Nikki Veal breakdown each exercise and make it fun. The workouts did not have me sweating or needing air but the next day I felt the burn in my gluteus maximus.  The DVD focuses on making the butt round & firm but you are getting a full body workout in the end.

#Mamavation Monday

Mamavation Mondays

Since joining the Sistahood of Mamavation I have come to a lot of Aha moments. The first one being that it doesn't make you weak to ask for help. Secondly that what you put in your body really matters. Food is your friend and learning new recipes and trying new foods is actually very fun to do. I have always loved cooking & baking so incorporating new foods has made it even more fun to do. Lastly, sweating is real FUN. I was never a runner and now I love the feeling I get when I am running and feel like I can't go on then all of a sudden something hits me I get this rush and I keep going at that moment it is just ME. Not to mention the physical changes can you say "HELLO" waistline.This week on Mamavation TV we will have special guest Roni Noone she is a healthy living blogger, web publisher, social media fanatic and has written a cookbook. She is just like us a mother who has had her battles with weight and lost 70 lbs. This is just the beginning and I can't wait to share this journey with you. Come join me in this trip to health.

March 1st Already

Where did the time go. We are already in March , it feels like it was just yesterday that I was shopping for my Christmas tree. This month I am challenging myself to do MORE. I will workout more, eat healthier more, drink more water, smile more, hug more, love more, call family more and appreciate all the little things more. Every morning I will wake up and thank the Sun for rising to greet me. At night I will thank the moon for the same. The little things we take for granted like flipping a switch and we have water. Turning on a faucet and out comes water. When it is cold turning on heat when it is hot turning up the air. I will be thankful for the wonderful Mother I was blessed to be born to who loves me and raised me on her own. Brothers and Sisters who are half as crazy as me which makes for a great fun family. Friends in real life and online who I am so glad to have met. Last but not least my 5 beautiful, smart, caring, loving kids who are the reason I breathe everyday. This month I will be MORE Thankful.
